Evergreen Oregon Natives for Year Round InterestIf you are looking for a Northwest natural feel for your landscape,
Al’s Garden Center has a selection of native plants that will look
good year round. Below is a list of great evergreen native
plants. These plants offer an abundance of benefits. They are
deer resistant, drought tolerant, shade-loving, and about as low
maintenance as you can find.
To establish evergreen native plants you will want to plant them with
a soil amendment, like NW Best Soil Amendment and Top Dressing. Water
them deeply for the first year. After the first year, native plants
will begin to survive on their own. Sword and deer Ferns will need to
be sheared back in late winter to allow for the arrival of their new
fronds.
