Ice Apple SauceThe scent and taste of apples sauce during the chilling days of
winter warms the tummy and the soul. Ice Apples, found
only at Al’s Garden Center, turns ordinary apple sauce into a
sweeter treat, perfect for a Holiday dinner. Here’s a very
simple recipe to make your own fresh Ice Apple Sauce this season:
INGREDIENTS
3 pounds of Ice
Apples - peeled, cored and chopped
3 cups water
1 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
DIRECTIONS
1.) Place apples in a large saucepan and just barely cover with
water. Simmer over medium-low heat until apples are tender, 15 to 20
minutes.
2.) Run cooked apples through a food mill or blender. Stir in the
sugar and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat for about 3 to 5
minutes.
