New Lines for 2008

We’re off to a great start with outdoor living at Al’s in Sherwood. The sun has finally shown us his face and we can’t wait to get outside to enjoy our patios.

 

For this 2008 season, we've brought in a couple of new lines in outdoor furniture this season. Alfresco Home, is an all weather wicker line that is contemporary in style and fabrics. I love the coffee table as it has two small benches that hide under the table top when not in use. The two collections, Vento and Sabbia are sold as sets only which include a loveseat, 2 chairs, coffee table and the 2 small benches. 

 

EON is also another group that will be a great addition to your outdoor living area. It is an Adirondack style that is made out of engineered polymer. No maintenance needed other then hosing it off. It comes in stationary and reclining chairs, ottomans and a tete-a-tete set available in cedar only. Due to be in the store in March.

 

Elaine Smith Pillows are also a new item for Al’s. ESP designer pillows are made for the outdoor but are beautiful enough for the inside. Elaine uses only Sunbrella and Outdura fabrics for the outdoor pillows. I brought in the botanical collection this season that includes a philodendron and a bronze (batik look) with leaves and of course some bamboo and textured fabrics to compliment the grouping.

 

Once again we are carrying Meadowcraft wrought iron in the Dogwood, Cahaba, Coventry, Chelsea, and new for this year is the Meridian in a chocolate finish, smaller in stature but very comfortable. We also have lots of cushions to complete your Meadowcraft purchase.

 

Bahama Winds all weather wicker is back as well. The newest piece for B.W. is a sectional. Sectionals were big at the Chicago show last fall. The collection that I brought in has two different sized ottomans to choose from. What’s great about sectionals is that you are able to break them up and create more then just one sitting area. I kept the fabrics basic with the Bahamas’ line so that you are able to compliment the furniture with the colors of your choice. I also brought in some bigger tables this year to co-ordinate with the deep seating collections. All of these items can be purchased separately.

 

Telescope Casual is one of my favorites just because it’s the boldest and brightest of all the furniture. I have brought in the Oceanside sling collection. It screams Summer Poolside!!!! Bright lime, pink, tangerine, plum, red, aqua, blues, and yellow will liven up any backyard barbeque this summer. I have two sizes of tables to go with the collection, a 48” round and a 42X60 rectangle.

 

O.W. Lee has kicked their bistros up more then just a notch. New faux copper table tops are available along with new contemporary chairs named after the big cities such as New York and Chicago, hey, where’s Portland’s? This is really a fun group for loft like verandas or a more intimate seating area. A new chat height fire pit is also available at Al’s this season with a beautiful 54” Brazilian slate top. In stock is also a lower 54” fire pit with a variegated marble top.

 

Cushions and Umbrellas are in abundance at Al’s Sherwood this year. We have a huge selection of 7 ½ foot and 9 foot umbrellas. Many solid colors and stripes are in stock.  Also available is 6 foot umbrellas in forest green, red, and black. 50lb umbrella bases are here in 4 colors: pewter, bronze, champagne and black.

 

If you haven’t already been to Al’s and seen our walls of cushions you need to. There is a fabric for just about everybody’s backyard color scheme. Greens, browns, reds, blacks, floral, geometric, stripes, you name it. The fabrics used are either 100% acrylic or polyester with a Dacron filling that enables the cushion to dry faster and delays the fading factor. Not having to replace your cushions year after year will save you money in the long run.  When replacing your old cushions be sure to take measurements either from your old cushion or directly from the furniture itself. Custom cushion orders are available for most furniture lines.
